Toyota Corolla Engine Swap?

Hey, I'm planning to restore my late grandfather's 2002 Toyota Corolla CE for sentimental reasons.
I've located a Toyota MR2 3SGTE Turbo power-train in my area. Just wondering whether you guys know if it could be mated to my car. As I understand

it can be done, sure...

however, i would like to point out, that

A- it is harder than you think

B- this mechanic would love for somebody to come in and drop a grand or two in the various parts you don't realise
