how to engage reverse in a BMW manual?

I wish to know how to put/engage a reverse in a BMW e90 saloon/4door manual (Manual transmission). Probably a 335i sedan manual.

every car i've drove under the bulb at the top of the gear stick there is a trigger you have to pull up before the gear will go into reverse
