What's the cargo capacity for a 60's or 70's Volkswagen Bus?

I want to get a Volkswagen Type 2 Bus for my father's window/door service company. I just want to know what it can carry in the back in weight. I got a stock 73 Beetle, but it can't fit large sash unfortunatly.

get a later baywindow model with out the camper top and take out the seats. It will carry just about 1 ton of shtuff.
